My Role: Design Intern on the Japan Team
Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
Supervisors: Kim Rygiel and Margot Duffy
As part of my 2021 summer internship with Sesame Workshop, I worked under Art Director Kim Rygiel to create and edit graphics and layouts for the Sesame Japan Team and Sesame Street English. My main projects were to create social media posts for Sesame Street English and edit and recompile the Sesame Street English homework workbooks.
Beyond those primary projects, I designed posters and mobile/desktop wallpapers. I also reformatted the Sesame Street Brand Book from a horizontal orientation and containing English text to a vertical orientation and containing English text and Japanese translations. As an indepent research project, I analyzed the different social media presences of Sesame Street English platforms in Japan, China, and Taiwan against other popular English-teaching programs in the areas and developed strategies to consolidate the brand in the various regions. I compiled my research in a short document I designed in the Sesame brand.
Some social media graphics I made on Illustrator.
